Frussie’s Deli & Bakery Wins Project BrandAid Competition Small Business will Receive Marketing Services Package

Knoxville, Tenn., Dec. 4 – Project BrandAid organizers, Asen Marketing & Advertising and their co-sponsors, celebrated today at an event held at Asen’s office at 18 Emory Place with the three small business finalists who qualified for a Marketing and Public Relations Service Package Giveaway. 12311172_926534200757952_7186779328091810874_n The finalists selected from community nominations by a panel of the project’s sponsors were Frussie’s Deli & Bakery, Visual Communication Interpreting and Hush Puppy’s Pet Services. After two weeks of on-line voting by the public in November that came down to the wire in a close race, the winning vote-getter was Frussie’s Deli and Bakery, which is located in downtown Knoxville on South Gay St. and is owned by Jay Brandon.

Asen developed the program, valued at $40,000, to help give back to the small business community by providing a deserving local business with the opportunity to develop a strong brand foundation and strengthen their growth. This year’s winner will receive branding and advertising materials designed to help grow their business profile in the marketplace. Services may include website, video, brochures, photography, social media, online search optimization, ads for print and digital, plus added exposure through public and community relations.

“Our Asen team along with our co-sponsors are really excited that we can give back to the Knoxville business community and help this deserving company raise their public profile through this marketing and advertising package,” said Asen CEO Paul Scoonover.

Asen accepted nominations online at throughout the month of October. Nominated businesses had to reside within Knox County Tenn., have a yearly revenue of $2 million or less and must have been in business for at least two years. Nominees could not have a current working relationship with a marketing or public relations firm. Once the three finalists were selected by the panel of sponsors, the public was invited to go online to vote on the final three to select the winner.

Other participating sponsors who will be providing elements of the service package are First View Online; Knoxville Chamber; Knoxville Mercury; Local 8 VLT Volunteer TV; Print Edge; Scripps Radio Group-93.1 WNOX, Hot 104.5, Q 100.3, & Star 102.1 FM; and SRW & Associates, An Association of Public Affairs Consultants.
