The Account Manager (AM) plays the crucial role as the bridge between the agency and our clients. They are the point person responsible for managing client relationships and ensuring client needs and expectations are understood. The AM will be the day-to-day agency representative to the client and will maintain a high responsive orientation in all transactions. The AM will be knowledgeable in both the client’s business and the agency business.

Key Responsibilities
Below are the key responsibilities associated with the role of an Account Manager:
- Accountable for providing strategic guidance to clients, understanding their goals and pain points, and producing successful client marketing programs.
- Oversees the implementation of approved marketing programs, ensuring quality and timely execution.
- Assists in crafting comprehensive client proposals, marketing communication strategies, media plans, and strategic marketing documents.
- Manages daily operations for assigned client accounts, ensuring smooth and efficient execution of tasks.
- Responds promptly and professionally to client communications, including phone calls and emails, ensuring all inquiries are addressed in a timely manner.
- Proactively identifies opportunities for additional projects or new business with existing clients, fostering ongoing relationships.
- Documents and distributes Client Contact Reports following client meetings, ensuring relevant agency personnel are informed. Relays Client Change Orders swiftly and accurately to all necessary team members.
- Skillfully presents, advocates for, and defends agency work and proposals to clients; provides support to other client service team members during these presentations.
- Reviews and approves creative materials, copy, layouts, and production art, facilitating client approval where needed.
- Coordinates project timelines and budget allocations with all relevant agency personnel, ensuring alignment with client expectations and agency resources.
- Alerts the leadership team immediately to any potential issues, such as client relations challenges or budget discrepancies, to ensure timely resolution.
- Actively research and identify potential clients or markets that could benefit from the agency’s services. This could include cold calling, networking, attending industry events, and leveraging referrals.
- Reaching out to potential prospects, initiating conversations, and building relationships.
- Leading contract negotiations, ensuring that terms are beneficial to both the prospect and the agency.
- Keeping track of leads, opportunities, and active prospects through a CRM or other system, ensuring follow-ups and timely communication to close deals effectively.
- Represents the agency at industry and community events.
- Continuously monitoring industry trends, competitor activities, and client needs to identify emerging opportunities for the agency.
Ideal Experience Set
- Min. 10 years’ experience in the advertising, marketing, or branding
- Min 5 years experience in an agency environment
- Understanding and expertise in developing/managing branding, marketing, and digital advertising programs
- Experience in agency pitching, proposal development
- Exceptional written & verbal communications
